Compassion

Our vision is to be a church community which demonstrates love in practical ways and serves the most vulnerable. We have a growing vision to reach out to people in need, both inside and outside our community. In doing so, we aim to develop an active collaboration with the local authorities and charities in Brussels.

Activities

Some examples of our recent activities include collecting sleeping bags, backpacks and warm clothes for homeless people and refugees (subsequently distributed via our partners Le Phare and the Salvation Army), collections for the victims of the recent earthquake in Italy, a Christmas outreach dinner open to everybody including low income families and homeless people, a presentation of the activities of OASIS with a fundraising evening to inform about human trafficking etc.

Supporting Others

We partner with existing compassion organisations in Brussels such as Le Phare, Oasis, Alternatives, the Salvation Army, Serve the City etc.

The compassion ministry also aims to support the church family by providing temporary material help to families and individuals. For example, the compassion ministry has organised regular grocery shopping for some people in the church as well as occasional material support (school materials, clothing, etc.).
