The God Who Moves Toward Us

What if the gospel is bigger than simply being forgiven and going to heaven?

In the first week of our ROOTED series, Pastor Ricky Venter takes us through the story of Scripture—from creation and the fall to the cross, resurrection and the restoration of all things.

The thread running through the story is simple yet profound:

When humanity moves away from God, God moves toward humanity.

We see it when Adam and Eve hide in the garden. We see it when God hears Israel’s cry in Egypt. We see it ultimately in Jesus, who enters our brokenness, bears our sin, defeats death and opens the way back to God.

The gospel is not about making ourselves worthy enough to come home. The way home has been opened.

As we begin ROOTED, we are invited to rediscover the good news of a God who pursues, restores and calls us into relationship with Him.
