VB Kidz is our children's ministry where we serve kids(ages 18 months-12y) with great joy! Our program is designed to teach them that God loves them and has an exciting plan for their lives!
Description
As a Buddy, you support a child with special needs during their time at church. You build a personal connection with them, make them feel seen and loved, and help them participate in the session in a way that suits them. You don’t need to teach — just be present, supportive, and creative.
Key responsibilities
- Stay close to the child at all times
- Help the child participate in the class or propose an alternative activity
- Build a caring and trusting relationship
- Communicate with parents and the other buddies
Time Commitment:
Once every 3 to 4 weeks (onsite)
Qualifications
- Make a lasting impact in a child’s life
- Gain experience working with children with special needs
- Grow in compassion and teamwork
