VB Kidz is our children's ministry where we serve kids(ages 18 months-12y) with great joy! Our program is designed to teach them that God loves them and has an exciting plan for their lives! Each year in September, kids move up. Kids that go to 2ième maternelle / 2de kleuterklas move up to Pre-School Park, kids that go to 2ième primaire / 2de leerjaar go to Primary Planet / Kids that go to 5ième primaire / 5de leerjaar go to Tween City. Kids that go to 2ième secondaire / 2de middelbaar go to Youth Café.
Description
As a Worship Leader, you lead the children in vibrant, engaging worship. You also help set the tone for the entire environment — guiding other leaders, welcoming parents, and creating a space where children can encounter God. You cultivate an atmosphere of joy, reverence, and openness where kids feel safe and inspired to worship.
Key responsibilities
- Create a loving and welcoming environment for children and parents.
- Prepare a playlist with songs for singing and dancing. (Preferably, you dance along with the kids!)
- Practice the songs at home so you can confidently lead others in worship.
- Lead rehearsals with dancers (usually children) and tech team (often teenagers).
- Pray with the leaders before the session, and with the children during the session. (You are comfortable praying aloud in a group.)
- Speak briefly to the group about the songs or make announcements (e.g. welcome new children or celebrate birthdays).
- Help organize the worship space before the session and tidy up afterward.
Time Commitment / Frequency:
- Once every 4 weeks (onsite)
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic and able to lead and inspire children and co-leaders.
- Comfortable speaking English and either Dutch and/or French.
- Enjoy engaging with children.
- Able to sing.
- Bonus: Able to dance!
- Build meaningful relationships with children and fellow leaders.
- Grow in your faith while helping others grow in theirs.
- Develop leadership and communication skills.
- Gain hands-on experience in children’s ministry and worship leading.
- Practice and improve your language skills in a multilingual setting.
- Previous experience leading children in worship (singing and, if possible, dancing).
- Experience working with children or in a church environment.
